Bronnie from Christchurch, New ZealandHmmm, need to muse on this for a while - lovely image though. And sentiments about acquisition of things is not something you have on your own - I seem to acquire things that mean something to me, but perhaps not to anyone else. Like the collection of pebbles I picked up from Birdlings' Flat (and stored in a square glass jar along with a feather I also picked up), and the wooden poseable figurine that I have sitting beside me, and the glass mouthpiece for the clarinet I no longer have, and the tiny fimo cat that my daughter made - well, you get the picture. Delete or edit this if you think it's rambling, I was just touched by your commentary. 1 Mar 2007 7:53am Jason Kravitz from Brussels, BelgiumThe music box and theme from Beauty and the Beast are all in G maj? 1 Mar 2007 10:26am @Jason Kravitz: Got it! Heh, I hope I don't even become senile but from the hereditary gene I most likely possess it will probably, unfortunately, happen. Duncan Galbraith from kyoto, JapanThank you Jenny, for me thats a lovely interpretation, the clock(work) music box is a finely imagined concept, and your story is just wonderful. The G major threw me and I can only imagine it is as Jason described. I think it's human nature to hoard things which practically serve no purpose but serve to remind us of times past. I know I do. In fact my fathers house is so full of my childhood toys, books, games and so on I think he may be worried about me slipping into senility myself. Btw, extra special congratulations for hitting the deadline, as I know your time was limited! 1 Mar 2007 11:08am Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaNice work, Jenny! The way you've composed this, it really looks like a magic key to the music box. 1 Mar 2007 7:14pm Still from Valence, FranceA clever and very personnal interpretation of the theme! I like it a lot! 1 Mar 2007 8:43pm jc from Irelandi like the image, though i haven't figured the gmajor connection, and your commentary is just great .. reminded me of this old jumper i have for about twenty of my thirty years(it was big to start with)..can't wait to see tomorrow's post! 1 Mar 2007 9:38pm |
