Points for giving a good explanation for your picture! This would be a great picture for meditation... I always love the different colours throughout the flame, from blue to orange.

Not being able to find the candle because you don't have a candle must be a feeling very similar to not being able to find your glasses without your glasses....a very lovely photo

Nice shot and story to tell about the blackout. I love power outages (though I wouldn't in the weather we're currently having - we need electricity for our furnace to run!) After our last one, I bought a crank-powered radio: highly recommended.

Power outages make me feel like the world has just stopped or something big is about to happen. The colour is very accurate which is hard for candel shots (photoshop withstanding)
